Surety bonds in Los Angeles are on file with the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and all rates are listed at our office in LA. Be advised that the failure to charge the proper bail bond rate in California is a crime and that Los Angeles bail bonds will always charge the rates as advertised to all clients.
State of California Bail Bonds
These are bail bonds issued by the state of California and the counties within:
- Bonds up to and including $500.00 in liability will be charged $50.00
- Bonds over $500.00 in liability will be charged 10% of the full amount. This still saves you 90% of the entire cost of the bond!
- The minimum premium for California state bonds is $50 per bond. No renewal fees shall be charged on any California surety bonds.
Federal Bonds in California
Federal bail bonds are a tad trickier and do take some time. We understand you want your loved one out of a federal holding facility, but we must move at the pace the facility is moving at. But, we will always do our best to act immediately and efficiently.
- Federal bonds up to and including $450.00 in liability will be charged $50.00
- Federal bonds over $450.00 will be charged 12% of the full bond amount. This still saves you 88% of the entire federal bail bond amount.
- The minimum premium for federal bonds is $50 per bond. No renewal fees shall be charged on any federal bond.
Immigration bonds in California
Immigration bonds in California are also a tad trickier to maneuver. You have to understand that there is red tape involved in all processes and that we again have to move at the pace with which the system moves. But, rest assured we will be with you 100% of the way until your loved one has been released from any ICE detention center.
- Immigration bonds will be charged $100 execution fee plus 15% of the penal amount of the bond and are subject to a $100 minimum premium.
- The minimum premium for immigration bonds is $100 per bond. No renewal fees shall be charged on any immigration bonds.
Additional Surety Bond Information
- Union Members: Qualified union members will only pay a minimum premium of $50 per bond. A qualified union member is defined as any union in which the defendant or indemnitor are members. Membership will only be validated by a current union card.
- Criminal Defense Lawyers: Private criminal defense lawyers fee is a minimum of $50 per bail bond. A practicing defense attorney who is retained for or on behalf of the defendant.
- Armed Forces Members: Active duty members, veterans and the immediate family members of the United States military armed forces will only pay a minimum premium of $50 per bond. Immediate family of a service member (or veteran) is defined as a parent, child or spouse.
- AARP Member: Members will only pay a minimum premium of $50 per bond. An active AARP member is defined as any AARP membership in which the defendant or indemnitor are members. Membership will be validated by a current AARP identification card.
